With a beaming face. A dream has come true for Werner Imboden. In his hometown Lauterbrunnen, he turned his passion into his profession. Together with his wife Trine, he dedicates himself to the topics closest to his heart: people, bicycles and nature.

At the top after a long journey. In Werner Imboden's life, since years, the focus was on sporting successes. But in 1991, everything suddenly turns out differently. A serious car accident shatters the elite amateur’s dream of a professional career. While his brother Heinz continued to ride from success to success, Werner was busy with his recovery in his hometown Lauterbrunnen for a long time. His passion for cycling yet never leaves him, even during this time. In the backyard of his private house, he became increasingly involved with the construction of bicycles. At first it was only his own bikes, then those of his brother Heinz, and a little later those of a steadily growing bike community. Word got around quickly, that Werner was someone who really was familiar with cycling. Looking back, it came as no surprise that within a few months the hobby turned into a vocation. Finally, in 1995, Werner Imboden opened his first official shop in Lauterbrunnen. Then as now the product range includes bicycles and outdoor clothing. Little by little, the store developed from a tip for insiders to a thriving hotspot for a constantly growing community of bike enthusiasts. In 2003, Imboden finally moves into the spacious new building on the Dorfstrasse – the rest is history. It is also thanks to Werner Imboden's unwavering passion that the Lauterbrunnen valley today is considered a true paradise for mountain bikers far beyond the borders of the Bernese Oberland.
